Today I played around with colours and fonts. It was exciting to think I actually found the blog again and where to go to format.

This is my first attempt at creating a blog, it's much easier than I imagined. Although having said that it did take some to work out how to find my draft. I can see this being a useful tool within the library to share information with library staff and also as a platform for informing patrons of library news, new book lists etc.

Staff will be encountering blogs more and more in this age of techology and library staff need to be aware of what is out there and how to use it.

It really is a great tool for social networking and groups like book clubs. I can see endless applications in public libraries I'm finding the more I play here the more I am learning how it all comes together.

Thanks to state library for making it possible to participate in the online learning program it's a great opportunity and I probably would not have tried this on my own.
